Hollywood, Like Government, Has Forgotten Its Place!

If you refuse to watch, yet another, conservative bashing, congratulatory award program showcasing the self-absorbed, ultra rich in Hollywood, then you didn’t miss much by not tuning into the Golden Globes.  Although it was tough to decide who was the most inappropriate self-centered idiot of the night, the “snob” award of the evening goes to Meryl Streep. It appears as Ms. Streep along with Hollywood and our government of late, have forgotten their place.

You and all of us in this room, really, belong to the most vilified segments in American society right now. Hollywood, foreigners, and the press….. Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners. If you kick ’em all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.”- Meryl Streep

I think Meryl Streep and many of the so-called actors in Hollywood are a little full of themselves. They have truly gotten a little big for their own britches as well as the ones given to them by the costume department. Do they really believe that if Hollywood stopped acting, the whole world would fall apart and die in pure misery having nothing to bring true meaning into their empty lives without movies like, A Bullet to the Head, Scarface, Django, and The Devil Wears Prada?  I think that bigger names than Streep might disagree with the premise that Hollywood is the only source of true art in the world…..Rembrandt, van Gough, Monet, Mozart, Beethoven and yes, even Bruce Lee are probably rolling over in their graves at this very moment.

“And this instinct to humiliate, when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody’s life, because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.”- Meryl Streep

Where has she been the last eight years while Obama has done nothing but demean and disrespect every American who has differences of opinion regarding his policies? Does she not see the irony in this statement? Is she not using her platform to demean and disrespect the president-elect and the American people who voted for him? Does she really believe that the senseless violent movies that come out of Hollywood have not incited their own amount of violence on our streets and in our communities?  This is the same hypocrisy that produces videos and tv appearances, ad nauseum, to tell the public that we must support gun control. All while they go to the bank cashing their million dollar checks protected by armed guards while making movies that senselessly kill, maim and destroy through the very gun violence they claim their principles force them to scorn? I guess principles are easily forgotten when money and fame are the alternatives.

“We need the principled press to hold power to account, to call them on the carpet for every outrage. That’s why our founders enshrined the press and its freedoms in our constitution.”- Meryl Streep

Our founding fathers, yet another group of folks rolling over in their graves because of the lies and disregard for their vision by the liberal left. The “principled” press? We all watched as the so-called principled press lied, cheated, deleted and mislead the American people during the entire election process and the Obama presidency. Obviously learning nothing from their lack of journalistic practices, we watch today as they continue to misrepresent the truth in order to protect the agenda they are all determined to fulfill.

I recently read a letter written by Nigel Bennett, @ncb58 on twitter, that says it best.

“You exist for my entertainment. Some of you are great eye candy. Some of you can deliver a line with such conviction that you bring tears to my eyes. Some of you  can scare the crap out of me. Others make me laugh. but you all have one thing in common, you only have a place in my world to entertain me. That’s it. You make your living pretending to be someone else. Playing dress up like a 6-year-old. You live in a make-believe world in front of a camera and often when you are away from one too. Your entire existence depends on my patronage. I’ll crank the organ grinder, you dance. I don’t really care where you stand on issues.

Honestly, your stance matters far less to me than that of my neighbor. You see, you aren’t real. I turn off my TV or shut down my computer and you cease to exist in my world. Once I am done with you, I can put you back in your little box until I want you to entertain me again. I don’t care that you don’t like Mr. Trump. But I bet you looked cute saying it. Get back into your bubble. I’ll let you know when I’m in the mood for something blue and shiny.

And am I also supposed to care that you will leave this great country [when] Trump becomes president? Ha. Please don’t forget to close the door behind you. We’d like to reserve your seat for someone who loves this country and really wants to be here. Make me laugh, or cry. Scare me. But realize that the only words of yours that matter are scripted. I might agree with some of you from time to time, but it doesn’t matter. In my world, you exist solely for my entertainment.”

I think Meryl Streep and all of Hollywood need to remember just one thing. Without we the people paying for those movie tickets, their industry will not and can not survive! I think that Hollywood, like government, has forgotten its place.

Pedophiles Off The Hook?

smile29 website

In this day and age of social media and technology, we have all been made more aware of sexual predators and their actions than ever before.  The question remains, do we still believe that sex with children is a crime, or are we now giving a pass to pedophiles in the name of sexual freedom?

Recently, all over the news and social media, ad nauseam, has been the story of the Duggars.  This was a case of sexual abuse of 5 underage victims by Josh Duggar, when he was a teenager.  The press had no issues with the questionable release of information about the victims even though they were under age at the time of the offense.  But what does it matter if the press humiliates a child victim of sexual abuse as long as they get their story and in the process are able to discredit Christians? Who is protecting the rights of the victims?

I guess the real question would be why they celebrate some pedophiles and condemn others?  Does it depend on the political party or the religious affiliation with whom  the offender or the victim identifies?  Is it just an opportunity to trash someone who believes differently or is it really about the atrocity of the crime itself? Has the tragedy of sexual abuse really come down to politics?  Can we so flippantly disregard the privacy, rights and the feelings of victims in lieu of the fame and fortune of the media?  Can we really so flippantly disregard the privacy, rights and feelings of victims for political gain?

Who is Lena Dunham? She is an actress on the show “Girls,” and she just released a new book, which I will not name for fear of promoting anyone who victimizes a child.  Hollywood and the liberal media have celebrated her and her new book. In her own words,

“One day, as I sat in our driveway in Long Island playing with blocks and buckets, my curiosity got the best of me. Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina.”

“Three pieces of candy if I could kiss her on the lips for five seconds. Whatever she wanted to watch on TV if she would just ‘relax on me.’ Basically, anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl I was trying.”

Does she deserve fame and fortune for her actions of sexual gratification regarding her own sister while the Duggars, have been crucified for their son’s actions? Could it have anything to do with the fact that the Duggars are Christians? What has our society come to when people are no longer outraged at the sexual abuse of a child in any and all circumstances?

The Gawker released an article by Noel Shepard titled, “Pedophilia is a Sexual Orientation.” The following headline actually appeared at Gawker: “Born This Way: Sympathy and Science for Those Who Want to Have Sex with Children.”

The first thing we have to notice is his reference to “sex” with children and not classifying it as “rape.” He speaks about research  done, that in his opinion, proves that anyone with a sexual attraction to children is wired to feel that way. He compares pedophilia to homosexuality or heterosexuality. Through this reasoning, he asks the question,

“And if pedophilia is a sexual orientation, that also means it’s futile to send pedophiles to prison in an effort to alter their attractions.”

If I am not mistaken, a prison term for sexually abusing a child is a punishment for your actions.  Rehabilitation occurs while you are serving your time.  Is he reasoning that if pedophilia is actually a sexual orientation that their crimes should not be punished with a prison term? Is he reasoning that because sexual predators are treated so badly in prison for their horrific actions towards children that they should not be sent to prison? If this is his argument, then how do we come to terms with how badly the pedophile treated the child they molested? How do we come to terms that we are supposed to feel bad for the pedophile and ignore the lifetime effects that the child they abused will be forced to endure? Are we supposed to excuse the actions of a pedophile while ignoring the consequences suffered by their victims?

Are we to accept, because science says that a sexual deviant’s behavior is hard wired, that we as a society should accept their actions with open arms and accommodate their behavior regardless of the damage it places on the rest of society?

In April of this year, a California Superior Judge, M. Marc Kelly reduced a 25 year mandatory sentence for a man who sexually assaulted a 3 year old girl to 10 years. Kevin Jones Rojano was playing video games when he decided to sexually assault  3 year old girl and covered her mouth so no one could hear her screams. In response the judge said,

“However, in looking at the facts of Mr. Rojano’s case, the manner in which this offense was committed is not typical of a predatory, violent brutal sodomy of a child case,” Kelly said. “Mr. Roiano did not seek out or stalk (the victim). He was playing video games and she wandered into the garage. He inexplicably became sexually aroused but did not appear to consciously intend to harm (the victim) when he sexually assaulted her.”

“Although serious and despicable, this does not compare to a situation where a pedophilic child predator preys on an innocent child,” Kelly said. “There was no violence or callous disregard for (the victim’s) well-being.”

The judge then pointed to a doctor’s report who said,

“Mr. Rojano was born into and raised in a dysfunctional environment…. “a great deal of family disruption and abuse, making him an insecure, socially withdrawn, timid, and extremely immature young man with limited self-esteem.”

So, we should all excuse the behavior of a pedophile because he had a bad childhood? The judge believes this pedophile did nothing that could be called violent or callous disregard for the child’s well being?  Okay, my response is about to get graphic, but it seems that now a days, the only way to get attention is to be graphic. So here goes……By his reasoning, a pedophile has not hurt a 3 year old child by shoving his erect penis into her small anus all while placing his hand over her mouth to keep her from screaming? When did we, as a society lose all our common sense and dignity? When, as a society did we decide that the life of our children is expendable?

In an article by the Huffington Post,  it was cited that Richard Dawkins, one of the world’s best known and outspoken atheists, said that he is unable to condemn  “mild pedophilia.” He feels that child abuse scandals have been overblown.

What has happened to our world? When a child’s life and well being is no longer considered a priority, we as a society are doomed to destruction at the hands of a failed morality.  When the sexual attack of a child is viewed as a non violent act then we as a society are doomed to destruction at the hands of a failed morality. When our society starts calling the rape of a child just sex, then we as a society are doomed to destruction at the hands of a failed morality. When the powers at be, decide to protect the rights of pedophiles by slowly but surely convincing the public that it is only a sexual orientation and therefore a natural act, then we as a society  are doomed to destruction at the hands of a failed morality. When the powers at be, decide that the sexual preferences of a minority of individuals supersedes the rights of the majority of Americans, then we as a society are doomed to destruction at the hands of  a failed morality.

Ravi Zacharias said it best when speaking of the progressive, modern man,

“He proclaims the gospel [bible], as the last hoorah of an antiquated outlook, to a generation who is intellectually unkept, morally unzipped and volitionally uncurbed. They reveal their sickness of soul by derogating terms like morality, piety, family, work, patriotism, born again, theology , evangelical and christianity. They dismiss [the bible] as middle class hedonism, declaring it intellectually inadmissible while meanwhile, they espouse a life that neither reason nor conscious nor spirit can support or condone……”

Will we allow this progressive movement to slowly indoctrinate our youth into believing that morality is no longer necessary because our personal feelings and sexual desires must be gratified regardless of the price paid by others? Isn’t it time for us to stop this madness?

Clint and Cooper Do Right By Kyle!

imgres-1

Have you seen American Sniper yet?  Funny how the Liberals and the US haters attempt to spin the movie into something it is not! Glorification of war? If you believe that, then you obviously have never seen the movie, read the book, fought in a war to defend the United States or lost a friend or loved one who was selflessly standing up for our country.

Michael Moore, who continues to slam the movie, calls the hero a coward, and vomits up his warped opinion and feelings about the film, obviously does not understand how it works.  His right to stand up and spew forth his hatred for our Veterans and this country was handed to him on a silver platter bought and paid for by our Military, and the very hero he is calling a coward.  He and others like him need to get on their knees and thank God that the United States has brave and willing young men and women to stand up and fight for this country and their rights.  If not our military than who?  Michael Moore? Seth Rogen? Madonna? Better Midler? Liam Neison? Eva Longoria, to name a few? Don’t hold your breath America. We all saw them beg for mercy when North Korea exposed them for who they really are, and forced them to stop the release of their movie, The Interview. Where were the big-mouthed, look at me, look at me, do as I say and not as I do, Hollywood elites then? Tucking their tails between their legs and running for the hills.  The same Hollywood elites who scream for equal rights for women, gays and the downtrodden, all while secretly, in emails to each other, reveal their true disgust with anyone other than themselves.

In 2012, Madonna stood up at a concert and screamed, “ For better or for worse, all right, we have a black Muslim in the White House, OK?  Other than being booed off the stage, I guess she has no understanding of the concept of truth and honor.  Our leaders should say what they mean and mean what they say.  Telling the truth matters to most Americans and they expect the truth when voting for the very person that will set the stage for generations to come. Or, what about Bette Midler, who stated that she was happy that the IRS targeted conservatives for their political beliefs. I guess she does not understand how the constitution works, or that IRS targeting can go both ways. If  she supports and cheers their illegal behavior, then she needs to be prepared when the IRS decides to target red-headed, has-been actresses.  Although hypocrisy and selfishness along with self-importance and delusional feelings of grandeur might be what moves those in Hollywood, it does nothing for the rest of us peons.

The Hollywood elite refuse to see their own behavior as inappropriate and wrong.  They are paid to advertise for Obamacare, yet refuse to participate in it. The very people who claim inequality is bad, yet scream foul if they don’t make $15 million for a movie or $1 million for every 30 minute sitcom they make?  The very ones who agree to higher taxes on the everyday American, while they receive tax credits and demand political favors in return for their donations or the use of their images?  The elitists who demand gun control while they are surrounded by body guards who brandish the very weapons they want to take away from the rest of us?  The hypocrites who make millions of dollars on movies that glorify weapons and killing, all while claiming guns go against their very core beliefs? The hollywood hypocrites that call our military warmongers and cowards for facing the enemy all while the hardest part of their day is putting on their make-up facing a camera?

Thank God for the actors and directors in Hollywood that stand up for our rights and use their talents to highlight the very individuals that make it possible for them to make their millions. Thank you for Clint Eastwood, Bradley Cooper, Dinesh D’souza, Ronald Reagan, Charlton Heston, John Voight, Gary Sinise, Bruce Willis, Kevin Sorbo, Dennis Leary, James Woods, Dennis Miller, Patricia Heaton, to name a few. The people who stand up for their beliefs regardless of the backlash they receive from the Hollywood hypocrites who claim to support freedom of speech and religion while they bully those who expect to use those rights. If this country had to count on the majority of the shallow elitists in Hollywood to defend our rights, we would all be holding our own heads by now. Hollywood has a sick obsession about being in the limelight and pretending to be what we know they are not.  What they don’t seem to understand is that the American people appreciate their ability to stand up and pretend to be someone else, but we don’t care about their political feelings or views and we don’t want to hear about them. We want them to do what we pay them to do….ACT!

Chris Kyle, a true American hero, has been embraced by the American people.  If Michael Moore and Seth Rogen don’t think he is a hero, then maybe they can explain how the movie, in one of the slowest movie months of the year, managed to pull in over $100 million in the first four days of its release. If it is really a story of a coward, then how did it manage to pull in over $200 million after only a few weeks? Or what about the Academy Award nominations it has received?  A total of six; Best picture, best actor, best adapted screenplay and others.

Is Michael Moore really in a position to criticize  American Sniper or its hero, Chris Kyle?  He has made 7, less than stellar, films that have grossed a total of $187 million, since 1989.  You would think by now, he would figure out that the American people just don’t care for his ranting and constant whining about the very Nation that has allowed him to make his movies.  Add in Seth Rogen’s less than fabulous reviews for “The Interview,” and you have to ask if either one of them are in a position to judge others?  The Interview, as reported by Sony, made $17.8 million from on demand outlets and theaters, achieved only because they were bullied by the North Koreans. Isn’t it ironic that a country who has no freedoms or civil rights, succeeded in scaring them out of releasing their movie, yet they dare criticize our country and military who fought for the very freedoms they enjoy here?

How could any of us forget or believe that another Hollywood elite, Jesse Ventura, would sue the widow of Chris Kyle for a fight that happened after Ventura insisted that the SEALS serving in Iraq had not suffered enough casualties saying “You deserve to lose a few.” What kind of person says that to the very people who fought for his safety and his rights? Hollywood elitist hypocrites!

American Sniper is well worth the watch.  A great movie about a great man who served his country proudly!  Kudos to Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper for showing the American people what real heroes look like!
