Hillary’s Dream: Open Borders!

preview-1

“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders. We have to resist protectionism [and] other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade.”- Hillary Clinton

This statement by Hillary Clinton was made to a Brazilian bank, Unibanco Itau, in one of her famous speeches to the banking industry and Wall Street. Speeches that she has taken consistent steps to hide from the American people.

Can anyone imagine what the United States would look like in four years, under Hillary Clinton, with just open borders, completely ignoring the needs of the American people? How many hundreds of millions of people would flood through our borders if the United States had no concerns regarding our sovereignty?  Let’s look at the numbers currently representing our immigration system today.

  • In 2014 there were almost 60 million refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) around the globe. Put another way, that’s one in every 122 people worldwide. Put yet another way, that’s roughly the equivalent of the entire population of Italy being pushed out of their homes.
  • Estimated number of illegals  residing within the US today range between 11.4 – 40 million.
  •  In 2014 alone,  there were 181 million  non-immigrant admissions (primarily tourists, business travelers, and international students).
  • The Diversity Visa Lottery admits 55,000 people annually.
  • In 2014, 1,016,518 foreign nationals became lawful permanent residents (LPRs), also known as green-card holders, according to DHS data.
  • Each year, the USCIS receives and processes about 6 million immigration applications from individuals and employers.
  • One immigration expert estimated the USCIS will receive at least 160,000 applications in 2014 for the 85,000 available H-1B visas.

The Migration Policy Institute says the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, has increased health insurance coverage of immigrants, especially noncitizens, at a greater rate than the U.S. born population.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates the number of people unemployed in the U.S in 2016 is 7.9 million.  Americans forced into part-time work, for lack of full-time jobs, hits 5.9 million. The labor participation rate is at the lowest since World War II.

Currently teachers throughout the U.S. are experiencing overcrowding in their classrooms, averaging 40 children per class. As stated in an article by Teach Hub.com, “Classroom Overcrowding: Not Just a Numbers Game,” says:

“Where we used to lack space, now we now lack seats within rooms. Kids sit on counters, on the floors, wherever they can find a space. Teachers struggle to be heard above the din of 40 plus kids, and kids struggle to hear the teacher and keep up with instruction. While we’re racing to the top and leaving no child behind, we’re burying them.”

According to a report (“Estimated Cost of K-12 Public Education for Unaccompanied Alien Children”) from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) that came out in August, 2014.

“The total estimated cost of educating illegal alien minors during the upcoming school year for all states and the District of Columbia is $761,405,907. New York topping the list with $147,731,339, Texas with $77,655,584, California with $63,908,143, Maryland with $67,937,602, New Jersey with $57,698,181, Florida with $56,773,589, and Virginia with $54,182,412.”

Now, with just these figures alone, imagine what the United States would be like with open borders. Our education system would fall to overcrowding, our healthcare system, now failing under the Affordable Care Act would implode, our current low employment market would open to hundreds of millions of new individuals searching for jobs. Our communities and neighborhoods would be overflowing with people needing a place to live. Is this really the America you imagine? Probably not, but it is the America Hillary dreams about.

Do You Lock Your Doors At Night?

shutterstock_393689320

Do you lock your doors at night? If you answered yes to this question, then tell me why? Do you lock them in order to keep out those you don’t know or those who might intend you harm? Do you lock them so strangers cannot enter your house at anytime of day or night? Do locked doors give you a feeling of security? Do you feel locking your doors will keep you and your family safe?

Donald Trump promised to build a wall to protect the borders of the United States. Why has this caused such controversy? Will a wall make a difference in the number of undocumented aliens entering the country? Will it stop terrorists, drug cartels and criminals from creating havoc or will it stop the transfer of children over the border to be sold into sex slavery? Will it be better for the citizens of the United States? Is it really necessary?

If you do, in fact, lock your doors at night, then you are already a proponent of the wall and border control. What makes the sovereignty of your home any different from the sovereignty of the United States? Locking your doors at night is the same as building a wall, but on a smaller scale.  Should a stranger be able to walk into your home, pick your child’s bedroom as his own,  partake in your meals, force you pay for their doctor’s visits and buy them school supplies? Isn’t this exactly the same thing as leaving our borders open and having undocumented immigrants enter our country illegally yet, receive shelter, education and healthcare, paid for by hard-working American citizens.

What about money? The United States is currently almost $20 trillion dollars in debt. We have been told that social security will soon be insolvent. Money that we were forced to pay to government with the promise it would be there in our retirements, now no longer. We have been told that there is no money for a cost of living wage increase. We have been told that budgets must be cut and services must be stopped for hard-working Americans. Our schools are overcrowded, our teachers are not getting raises and budgets are stressed. Many of our veterans are homeless, awaiting medical care for days, months and sometimes years. Many of those veterans have died waiting for medical services. We currently have approximately a third of Americans who have dropped out of the labor force giving up on ever finding jobs. The growth of the economy in the United States has remained below 2% for over 7 years, grocery prices are at an all time high,  food stamps are currently being used by one in every five Americans and more than 46 million have been on food stamps for over 45 months. Based on these figures alone, can the U.S. economy afford to be caring for an additional 30-40 million undocumented immigrants? In the year 2015, the Office of Refugee Resettlement spend $1.56 billion dollars, the majority allocated to funding unaccompanied minors crossing the border from Mexico. The remainder of the funds went to resettlement, medical services, cash and job and language training to approximately 1800 refugees. However, President Obama has plans to let in 10,000 Syrian refugees by September and increasing that number to a total of 100,000 before he leaves office, which will require a much larger chunk of change. The current amount requested to settle new refugees has topped over $55 billion and the government intends on offering  free housing, welfare and food stamps.

If we look at the additional unauthorized persons who have overstayed their visas and disappeared into the shadows, we can add another 500,000 unauthorized individuals from around the world. As reported in the Washington Times in an article by Stephen Dinan,

“Among these thousands [visa overstays] are from countries connected with terrorism: 219 illegals from Afghanistan, 681 from Iraq, 564 from Iran, 56 from Libya, 1,435 from Pakistan, 440 from Syria and 219 from Yemen in fiscal year 2015 alone.”

What about college? Currently, twenty states offer in-state tuition to undocumented students, five states offer state financial assistance to undocumented students.  Janet Napolitano, former Secretary of Homeland Security under Obama, now University of California system president, recently announced that she will earmark $25.2 million to fund loan programs for illegal students as well as an additional $2.5 million to go to graduate and undergraduate fellowships and funds for textbooks for the same illegal students. The next obvious question would be whether these funds would be going to hard-working American students, whose parents have funded the public education system through their taxes, if they were not promised to illegal students.

The United States is the most generous Nation in the world and our country is comprised of immigrants from all over the world. However, should we all be forced to unlock our doors and sit back while immigrants who have chosen to break our laws, come into our homes and take our hospitality to the detriment of our own citizens and families?

Do we really need that wall and do you still plan on locking your doors tonight?

“Bad Policy From A Good Leader?” The Demise Of The European Union.

shutterstock_331912520

If you found yourself asking  “why” the United Kingdom voted to remove itself from its family within the European Union yesterday, then you are not alone. Many across the globe are trying to understand, predict outcomes and second guess the people of the United Kingdom.

To understand this divide, we must start with the most powerful and prominent leader of the European Union, Andrea Merkel. Who is she, and what has she done for Germany?

Andrea Merkel, Chancellor of Germany since 2005, was able, like no other, to pull together the two major political parties of Germany, the Social Democrats and the Christian Democrats. An accomplishment that can only be achieved under a strong leader. An accomplishment that the President of the U.S. has refused to attempt, creating a divide in its citizenry that hasn’t existed since the 60’s. An accomplishment that brought the German people together and made them a force to be reckoned.

In an article, Maureen Orth says,

“To think that only 25 years ago Angela Merkel was a divorced 35-year-old East German physicist specializing in quantum chemistry, who was not allowed to set foot in West Berlin and had never uttered a political opinion in public, was a striking affirmation of both the ability of Germany to recover and her own ability to succeed.”

Ralph Bolman, a biographer of a leading conservative daily, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, says,

“She’s very popular among the German people, but she doesn’t appreciate the German people so much. She doesn’t have much trust in them,” …..the chancellor treats the German electorate—which recently gave Merkel a 74 percent approval rating—“as if they were children.” Her nickname in Germany is Mutti, or Mommy. (A sticker on a litter can outside my Berlin hotel said, “Be careful. Mutti is watching you.”)”

An economic conservative, Merkel demanded painful structural reforms of Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Ireland in exchange for small bailouts.  Merkel pledged in her 2013 campaign that Germany would have a balanced budget by 2015. Today she continues to make decisions based on that pledge. She refuses to go into deficit spending in order to stimulate the economy. As a result, Germany is the largest national economy in Europe, the fourth largest by minimal GDP in the world and a founding member of the European Union and the Eurozone.

She refused to be a part of the Iraq war in 2003 and abstained on the vote within the U.N to join the U.S. in an intervention in Libya in 2011. In 2014, we saw the crisis in Ukraine take hold, and while Barack Obama refused to take a leadership role, Andrea Merkel stood at the helm in dealing with Putin.

When President Obama spoke at Tiergarten in 2008, Dirk Kurbjuweit, a journalist, said,

“At the time, Merkel told him that Obama’s charisma—the very idea of which is antithetical to everything that is Angela Merkel—was overrated: “When he’s running, he can shine, but when he is in office he will have very different tasks. You can’t solve the tasks with charisma.”

As the United States has found out, charisma has done nothing in solving the problems of the world. Needless to say, the relationship between Obama and Merkel still remains cold.

As we come back to the vote by the United Kingdom (UK) to secede from the European Union (EU) the question remains, Why?

The finger of blame seems to be pointing in the direction of the refugee crisis that has been seen around the world. Andrea Merkel opened the borders of Germany resulting in over a million refugees flooding the country along with an additional numbers arriving monthly. Merkel’s popularity with the German people has dropped to a new low as the Cologne sex attacks of New Year Eve hit the news. Hundreds of women were targeted, raped, molested and robbed while evidence came pouring in that police forces nationwide were suppressing immigrant crime and refusing to pursue migrant offenders.

Orth also says,

“There are other serious issues brewing inside Germany. Her country has one of the lowest birthrates in the E.U., and 35 percent of children under five have an immigrant background, mostly Muslim. At the current rate, Germany could acquire a million refugees every five years. How will they be integrated into German society? “

The New York Times recently reported,

“Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, countries that long set the standard for welcoming refugees from war and persecution, are rapidly rethinking their generosity as the tide of migrants to Europe strains their budgets and roils their politics.”

Sweden and Denmark currently have the highest number of sexual assaults in Europe. Statistics show that one in every four Swedish women will be raped.

Frontpage Magazine reports,

“With Muslims represented in as many as 77 percent of the rape cases and a major increase in rape cases paralleling a major increase in Muslim immigration, the wages of Muslim immigration are proving to be a sexual assault epidemic by a misogynistic ideology.”

“In Stockholm this summer there was an average of 5 rapes a day. Stockholm has gone from a Swedish city to a city that is one-third immigrant and is between a fifth and a quarter Muslim.”

“Sweden, like the rest of the West, will have to come to terms with the fact that it can either have female equality or Muslim immigration. It cannot have both.”

Noah Barkin, Rueters bureau chief for Germany, Austria and Switzerland said,

“Without a doubt, German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s standing in Europe has taken a hit because of her handling of the refugee crisis.

Her welcoming stance of “We can do it” is seen as naïve, not only in Central Europe but also by close partners like France, which is still reeling from the November terrorist attacks in Paris and is not in the mood for solidarity on the migrant issue. The mass assaults on women in Cologne on New Year’s Eve have deepened the skepticism.”

The Daily Mail reports,

The floodgates would open: Fury over EU plans to make Britain accept 90,000 refugees a year as part of migrant quota.

“This is scandalous,’ said Sir Gerald Howarth, a former Tory minister. ‘The tribunal should have no business in this matter. We have very strict laws on immigration and asylum that are set by Parliament. It is not for the courts to undermine them in this way.”

The Guardian reports,

“Polling suggests discontent with the scale of migration to the UK has been the biggest factor pushing Britons to vote out, with the contest turning into a referendum on whether people are happy to accept free movement in return for free trade.”

“Cameron promised before the 2010 election to bring migration down to the tens, not hundreds, of thousands. However, his failure to live up to his promise, repeated in 2015, has undermined trust in his leadership and contributed to a sense that UK politicians are powerless to lower migration from the EU.”

The Guardian reports another reason for the exodus,

“The leave camp argued that Brussels has been on a mission to expand its powers and sought further political integration, which is far removed from what the UK originally voted for. Voters appear to have decided that this was their one chance to leave a union they never particularly embraced and did not consent to in the first place.”

The dissatisfaction in the United Kingdom seems somewhat similar to the rise of the American middle and working class and the ever building support for Donald Trump.

“The leave campaign has throughout painted the EU and Brussels officials as a hotbed of unaccountable political elites who were not democratically voted by the British people.”

I guess the people have had enough!

Not all Muslims Are Terrorists But Aren’t All Terrorists Muslim?

shutterstock_378357655

President Obama is once again refusing to react to the line that he drew in the sand in the fight to decimate and destroy ISIL. But this time the consequences are deadly. The American people are being placed in harm’s way. A directive from the White House tells the FBI to “Back off Muslims,” even though the facts tell us that all terrorists are Muslim.

In a statement just a few days ago regarding the attack in Orlando, Obama said,

“We currently do not have any information to indicate that a foreign terrorist group directed the attack in Orlando.”

But what do we know about the attack in retrospect? The terrorist, Mateen, called 911 during the attack to pledge his allegiance to ISIS. He also called CNN News 13 in Orlando to proclaim he was carrying out the massacre on behalf of the terror group.

“I’m the shooter. It’s me. I am the shooter,” Mateen said, according to Gentili. “I did it for ISIS. I did it for the Islamic State.”

But after all these bold proclamations from the terrorist himself, our President, yet again, goes on air to deny that this man was a terrorist or affiliated with any terrorist group. When will the President of the United States actually stand up and identify the enemy within our gates and do what is necessary to protect the people he took an oath to defend?

Despite the terrorist attack in Orlando, Obama just days after the killing, opened our borders to 400 new Syrian refugees who have not and cannot be vetted, against the strong advice of the CIA director, John O. Brennan,

“The group is probably exploring a variety of means for infiltrating operatives into the West, including refugee flows, smuggling routes, and legitimate methods of travel.”

Yet despite Brennan’s advise, Obama has admitted 441 Syrian refugees, only 5 Christians, and has settled them in Florida, Illinois and Arizona. Six were placed in Orlando, the location of the recent terrorist attack on the gay community and only days after the horrific attack. Add insult to injury, the White House refuses to share any information on these refugees with local law enforcement claiming they have a right to privacy. What about our right to safety?

Although the debate is heating up over whether the U.S. should take these refugees, the Obama administration has dramatically increased processing of refugees in order to reach its goal of 10,000 before the end of the year. In 2016 alone, Obama has admitted 4,328 Syrian refugees, 4,289 whom are Muslims, the majority were not vetted.

On a news report last night, former assistant director, James Kallstrom, says a directive has come down directly from the White House to “Back Off Muslims.” The FBI is being told by the white house that they cannot go into mosques, or proceed with normal investigative paths against Muslims. The public is told to say something if you see something, yet at the same time, Loretta Lynch, the attorney general of the U.S. says the Department of Justice has threatened to take action against any and all anti-Muslim rhetoric or violent talk. Isn’t this just a promise to go after anyone who might point the finger at questionable behavior by a Muslim, like Mateen, and an attack on free speech by the very department that is assigned to protect our rights? You also have to ask yourself why our DOJ is not taking action against the “Black Lives Matter” activists hate speech, who are screaming for law enforcement to be killed? Can you say hypocrisy?

A florida gun store owner contacted local authorities when Mateen tried to buy body armor and arsenal of ammunition 2 months before the attack in Orlando, but nothing was done. So does it matter when the public raises the red flag or are our law enforcement officers hands tied behind their backs by the current rules of engagement?

Back in December, a whistleblower, Philip Haney from Homeland Security was responsible for investigating individuals with suspected ties to radical terrorism. He had received a commendation letter for successfully tracking down 300 terrorists. However, he was visited by the State Department and the Homeland Security Civil Rights Division and told his investigations were “profiling” Muslims and was subsequently shut down. All his records were destroyed including information into the terrorist that committed the attack in San Bernadino. Even now, the White House refuses to look into the social media accounts of potential Muslim immigrants even though the San Bernadino and Orlando terrorists posted on social media.

Former FBI assistant director, James Kallstrom says we have to get this wet blanket of political correctness off the back of agents. We need to change the rules of engagement.  Training manuals are being permanently altered in the name of political correctness and Congress has done nothing to make the job for the FBI easier. Although the Director of the FBI says they are critically understaffed, the administration has done nothing to alter that situation at a time when it is obvious to all Americans that it is desperately needed.

It appears all common sense and logic have been tossed out the White House window. If the majority of all terrorist are Muslim, then how do you call investigating potential Muslim refugees and immigrants “profiling?” It’s time to put the safety of the American people first and throw political correctness out the window along with the president.
